So much room, amazing build quality, really comfortable - it's the best backpack I've ever owned.

So far so good with this amazing backpack! I am conservationist, content creator/photographer that needs to be able to keep my camera, lens, drone and equipment dry. I spend 80% of my days around water and the other 20% lost in the woods. This backpack does both. I appreciate the heavy duty zippers. It hasn’t take a dip yet but I did submerge it before use to confirm it was submersible. I know when it does go in I will appreciate that it floats. There is an exterior front pocket and interior pockets for organization. The straps are comfortable for hiking. I carried a drone, two 40oz water bottles, two lens and some additional equipment on a 6 mile hike/slog. It like most back packs did get a little hot while carrying it but I’m in Florida and it was 80 degree January day. It is easy to wipe down after use and and keep clean. I didn’t know it when I purchased it but it’s definitely my new day to day adventure bag!

After having really bad experiences with supposedly waterproof dry bags and backpacks, I decided I need to do more research and be prepared to spend a little extra in order to get quality gear. When it comes to sensitive items that just can't get wet such as electronics, towels or layers of clothes designed to keep me warm, I don't want to take any chances. I found the gear I was looking for from Breakwater Supply. The River UTE backpack is exactly what I needed and more. It is completely waterproof and submersible. The lashing points are extremely handy for attaching the backpack onto my paddle board or kayak and they are also useful for attaching webbing that allows me to store wet gear such as water shoes or a wet towel on the outside as pictured. The pockets on the sides fit my tall smart water bottles perfectly and the velcro straps on the top sides fit around the cap of the bottle as if that's exactly what they were designed to do. There is a smaller waterproof zippered pocket for my wallet and keys. There is a much more heavy duty waterproof zipper for the main compartment. It stores my Nesso beach tent with the back lash straps holding the poles as pictured. With all that there's still loads of room inside the 20 l Main compartment for a towel, food and also an air inflator if I choose. My buddy likes to use the same backpack to store a miniature fishing pole and fishing gear. There are three additional compartments inside the main compartment of the backpack, but I may not need those until I want to hike with it in areas where I have to walk through water. From hiking and urban exploration to kayaking and paddle boarding, I am a big fan of functional multi-purpose gear and this backpack delivers in aces!

I purchased this bag for a trip to Maui's rain forest. I knew we would be in and out of the water and that it would be raining some of the trip. This bag did not disappoint! Not one drop of water got in the bag. I put everything from my phone, camera, extra clothes and food in there. The 25L left lots of room to carry others items. I was a little worried the light color would look nasty after a day in the mud, but it cleaned up well. The bag actually floated upright which was nice when I was in deeper water. Would definitely buy again.

This backpack is heavy duty! I work as a camp counselor at an outdoor camp and have used it in various weather conditions (rain/shine) and at different nature spots (lakes, waterfalls, rivers, trails, etc). I haven't tested its waterproof claim yet (been meaning to do so in my bathtub), but I have worn it while it rained, and the stuff in my backpack was absolutely dry! The zippers are hard to move, but that's because they are supposed to prevent water from seeping through. I do like how there is a pocket you can slip your phone into that you can see on the outside, and the material covering your phone is thin enough so that you can still touch your phone screen! I prefer this backpack to the other ones that have the openings at the top that you have to roll down - it's so much easier just being able to unzip the backpack and grab what I need! I think the only thing that tripped me up at first was the price point, but, other than that...I would highly recommend this backpack! I was looking for small carabiners for my keys that weren't metal. It's just that clanking sound that can get irritating. These are perfect and literally it's true they will not break! I tried twisting and bending and I figured since there's 4 in the package I can live with breaking one, but I couldn't snap them. For small carabiners these are perfect. Easy to open and as light as can be. And I like the small zip bag they come in. Recommend!

I i've only heard super good things about this bag. Now I've got my own and it lives up to all the expectations.

Just ordered this bag and had to try it out today on my paddle board. The design is so clean looking and the bag is perfectly functional. It fit everything I needed: towel, change of clothes, water bottle, snacks, sunscreen, phone, keys, and still had room to spare. Will definitely be taking this on all of my paddle boarding adventures! :)

These little guys are handy and useful for many things while adventuring. Functional and versatile to have in the kit.

Packs a lot of useful stuff into a tidy package. Will keep this in the bag I bring when day sailing.
