We incorporated a one-piece 5mm neoprene upper from a dive shoe, a cushioned EVA midsole from a running sneaker, along with a wraparound protective overlay and grippy rubber sole from a hiking boot. The result is a comfortable, fully waterproof shoe that can be submerged up to the collar, making it ideal for use on the trail, beach, shore, and in urban environments. And since neoprene provides insulation, the Halocline Shoe will keep your feet warm and dry in winter conditions as well.
To keep water out, there’s no tongue on the upper, and no seams for water to make its way to your socks (or bare feet, because how you wear them is up to you). They slide right on and a reflective bungee provides lock-down fit. The slip-resistant rubber outsole has horizontal grooves for grip on rugged, rocky terrain, as well as slick surfaces like boat decks.
