Just how waterproof are these?
These are 100% waterproof, and will keep out water from rain/snow, wet grass, deep puddles, hiking, and along the shore/beach. We get it – when purchasing shoes, it feels like nothing that says it’s waterproof ever truly is. But the Halocline’s unique construction and materials makes these a different type of shoe – one that is completely waterproof.
Can they handle winter conditions, like snow and ice?
For several reasons, these are excellent in winter conditions. When it comes to warmth, neoprene is completely windproof and a very good insulator. Additionally, the protective TPU layer around the bottom half easily sheds snow, slush, and ice. They provide good traction in light snow as well.
Can they be worn by men and women?
YES! These are 100% unisex, and made for all.
What happens when water gets inside, through the top?
If water gets in through the collar at the top, simply take out the removable insoles and allow them to air-dry, or dry them with a hairdryer.
Will these protect me when hiking?
Yes – the Halocline features an ultralight toe protector and a TPU overlay that surrounds the bottom half of the upper. This layer of TPU provides reinforcement, preventing holes and punctures and serving as a protective shield against sticks, rocks, and other debris. Because the one-piece, solid upper is constructed with zero exposed seams, sand and pebbles are kept out as well.
Can I use them with orthotics or custom insoles?
Yes, the insoles are removable and can easily be replaced with orthotics or your own insoles.
Are these good for wide feet? And will they be available in multiple widths?
The flexibility of neoprene makes these suitable for even wide feet. At the moment, they are available only in Standard Width, with the potential for wider widths in the future.
Where can I use these?
The Halocline Waterproof Shoe is an all-purpose shoe and is extremely versatile. Use them for walking the dog, hiking and adventure, fishing, hunting, boating, or indoor environments, especially where extra grip and waterproof protection is needed. They’re also ideal for harsh weather, including rain or snow.

    I have been wearing the Halocline shoe for just over two weeks now and I find them to be very comfortable and cushy. I’m able to put them on easily although I see some people complain about the narrow fit, I guess if you wear wide width shoes it can be a bit challenging. I like that they are silent on most surfaces and can be worn in various situations, whether sports, casual or semiformal. I also like the reflective drawstring, it adds a nice touch. I will definitely be wearing them often. I wish that they fitted a bit higher over the ankles to ensure that water doesn’t get inside the shoe. Overall it’s an excellent product and I look forward to seeing a second iteration of it.

    Excellent product and build. I looked forward to doing my walks more consistently, even in the rain. Unfortunately, the US 12 (largest) is too tight for me. I am not sure if I can ‘break it in’ somehow. So, if you’re a large 12 or 13, like me, you’re out of luck. Still, an excellent product.

    Received mine a few days back and and very happy with the quality, look and comfort of these shoes. Have tested in 2 inches of water and they have proved totally waterproof. Nicely reinforced at the toes too, providing more than adequate protection. The shoe length was fine given my average sized feet but they are a fairly tight fit width wise, so anyone with wider than average feet might want to consider moving one size up if my experience is anything to go by. Great product and happy to recommend.

    Just received my Haloclines and wow they are so comfortable! I love the material and so far they have proven to be truly waterproof. Also I love the look , they match everything! Would highly recommend.
