Great quality, perfect size. Yes, zippers can take a little bit of effort to pull but there are loops to hold that helps. After all it is waterproof! Exactly what I needed for a trip to Alaska - in a temperature rain forest. Thank you!

Airtight and durable

Absolutely love this thing!!! High-quality and from the moment received have been impressed. One thing to note, it is packed!! so I took out a few things to roll the bag down properly. If you've ever used a dry bag before you know you need to roll them a lot so they stay fully dry.

So many bags out there to choose from, this one takes the cake because of the phone pocket. Dropped my iphone in the water last summer (ended up losing it) and needed to get something so that doesn't happen again. Haven't yet had a chance to take it out but I love how it holds my iphone 13 (newest one). The price of phones are so out of control nowadays if you like being on the water, you have to get a backpack with a phone holder.

Writing as a Divemaster, marine ecologist, and full-time PhD student who spends months of the year collecting data in the field. While I've yet to drag this backpack through its paces out on a fieldwork season, I've been pleasantly surprised with how robust it has been as an EDC backpack in adverse winter conditions. It's burly and rugged, and has a functionally minimalist design with plenty of external lash points and additional features. I picked this bag over alternatives such as the Patagonia Guidewater line or the Fishpond Thunderhead primarily because of its built-in laptop sleeve and double airtight pockets (one main compartment and one outside compartment). I don't regret this decision at all, and am pleasantly and plentifully surprised at how well-made and thought-out this product is. My only gripe so far is how small the external water bottle sleeves are—none of my water bottles fit in them, but it's also hard to whine about a feature that none of the other submersible packs on the market even have to begin with, so I digress. The hingeless carabiners are also sleek and functional and don't feel disposable. In short, this bag seems perfect for my demanding use cases, and my only suggestions are 1) bigger/more expandable water bottle sleeves, and 2) a clearer picture of Breakwater Supply's commitment to conservation and sustainability and how their products and materials reflect this focus. This backpack is heavy duty! I work as a camp counselor at an outdoor camp and have used it in various weather conditions (rain/shine) and at different nature spots (lakes, waterfalls, rivers, trails, etc). I haven't tested its waterproof claim yet (been meaning to do so in my bathtub), but I have worn it while it rained, and the stuff in my backpack was absolutely dry! The zippers are hard to move, but that's because they are supposed to prevent water from seeping through. I do like how there is a pocket you can slip your phone into that you can see on the outside, and the material covering your phone is thin enough so that you can still touch your phone screen! I prefer this backpack to the other ones that have the openings at the top that you have to roll down - it's so much easier just being able to unzip the backpack and grab what I need! I think the only thing that tripped me up at first was the price point, but, other than that...I would highly recommend this backpack! This shirt is great and fits like a slim tshirt. I've bought other products from this brand and have been impressed with their quality. This is a good product, and the stitched pattern on it is unique.

Really great bag! The white is more off white grey tone but it still looks clean. Straps are comfortable and the chest clip is a nice option. The pockets inside are a big plus and the overall space inside is more than I expected. I have not gotten it wet but the zippers seem heavy duty so I’m sure the seal is perfect. Thinking about getting one the black one for my boyfriend- it’s perfect for our water based jobs.

Small first aid kit, soft case, has the essentials worth keeping on hand. Size is nice. Easy to bring along.

The backpack is great. It is light enough for comfortable use, yet will protect my cameras and spare clothing during a downpour.
