I absolutely love my waterproof bag. I’m an avid SCUBA diver, swimmer, etc. and it works well for my needs; no leaks and easy to clean. Also it is just the right size. The price was worth it and I will purchase more products in the future.

Love these waterproof backpacks, we put out laptop in our and threw it in our swimming pool, pulled it out and it was bone dry ! Fits great and heavy duty ! #SWPG Approved !

Finally - a practical first aid kit for people that enjoy camping, hiking and other outdoor sports. It's compact but has the products you will likely need - as opposed to being full of fluff that you won't. A great gift for anyone that loves the outdoors.

I’ve had this bag for years. Hiked through jungles, swam through waterfalls, and hiked through the rain forest. My bag still looks new. The only caution is electronics or item susceptible to heat, the nature of waterproofing a bag means contents will get very warm in the sun in extended use. All in all couldn’t ask for more

I've depended on a lot of water resistent and waterproof backpacks for about a year and I could tell this is the real deal. There are two requirements to be waterproof: 1. the material 2. sealing any openings (zippers or roll tops). While roll tops are waterproof, it doesn't mean the openings are completely waterproof under pressure. Also, most roll top bags are built like sacks which serve a purpose but don't make good day packs. However, this bag uses drysuit zippers. But it also has several unique features I haven't seen on a zippable pack like this: 1. two mesh water bottle hoders (while a bit small, they do stretch; see picture), a laptop divider (no padding but should still hold up) 3. Most importantly, the same waterproof zippers on the front stash pocket. I got mine in Cordura which was a 10 dollar difference but is a top notch rip resistent perofrmance fabric. Overall, I do recommend this bag but I do wish it shipped flat (can see the crease in the middle but should be fine once used) and maybe a 30L/28L version with hip straps?

We run an all-weather camera delivery in NYC. Seven days or a week rain, shine or blizzard. We immediately knew we were dealing with professional grade gear when we opened the box, these bags are seriously constructed and for our purposes, keep very expensive camera gear bone dry after 10 hours out in the rain. That being said, they did not completely forget about the style end of things , the backpack does not look like a rubber dry-bag and can totally be used as an every day commuter backpack etc. So it’s pretty much consensus amongst those who review these products that they are an extremely high-quality product, recently we had a zipper issue and I got to experience the customer service end of the Breakwater brand philosophy. Super supportive, knowledgeable and ultimately resolved our issue immediately and with full satisfaction. They really went above and beyond making sure we were 110% happy, and as a result of combining top shelf quality products with missionststement of full client satisfaction have created a lifelong customer out of me. Awesome packs. Took packs straight to Alaska bushwhacking, fly fishing, kayaking and boating. The packs took it all is stride. Completely durable & waterproof!

Built like a tank and immediately felt better about the price. Only 2 things I find that could be better. 1 Zippers are tough to pull and require wax to make sure they don’t get stuck. 2 lacks a good amount of interior pockets for those who like excessive pockets in your bags. Design of the bag was kept simple to help with water proof-ness. Will say that if you don’t want to worry about what you put in the bag staying dry this is the bag for you.

I bought this bag for a trip to the Galapagos and the Amazon next year, so I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but it seems like a sturdy bag, and it's pretty cute. I like the texturized appearance of the Condura material but wish it came in more colours or even just a lighter beige. My only gripe is that the 20L pack doesn't have lash tabs or d-rings on the front or sides to secure gear. I know the 25L has those features, but 20-inch long bags look silly on smaller frames (I'm 5'2"), so I had to go with the 20L. It would be great if Breakwater added those features to the smaller bags or offered a shorter version of the 25L for women/shorter individuals. When I purchased the bag, I was worried that the water bottle pockets wouldn't fit my 20oz Lululemon water bottle (3-inch diameter), but I tested it at home, and it seems functional so far. The water bottle pockets have two layers of mesh and a ~0.5" thick elastic at the top, so my water bottle didn't fall out after jumping a few times, but it would be great if it went up about 2" higher. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase. I would love to see more features added to the smaller bags or even a submersible fanny pack in the future.

After having really bad experiences with supposedly waterproof dry bags and backpacks, I decided I need to do more research and be prepared to spend a little extra in order to get quality gear. When it comes to sensitive items that just can't get wet such as electronics, towels or layers of clothes designed to keep me warm, I don't want to take any chances. I found the gear I was looking for from Breakwater Supply. The River UTE backpack is exactly what I needed and more. It is completely waterproof and submersible. The lashing points are extremely handy for attaching the backpack onto my paddle board or kayak and they are also useful for attaching webbing that allows me to store wet gear such as water shoes or a wet towel on the outside as pictured. The pockets on the sides fit my tall smart water bottles perfectly and the velcro straps on the top sides fit around the cap of the bottle as if that's exactly what they were designed to do. There is a smaller waterproof zippered pocket for my wallet and keys. There is a much more heavy duty waterproof zipper for the main compartment. It stores my Nesso beach tent with the back lash straps holding the poles as pictured. With all that there's still loads of room inside the 20 l Main compartment for a towel, food and also an air inflator if I choose. My buddy likes to use the same backpack to store a miniature fishing pole and fishing gear. There are three additional compartments inside the main compartment of the backpack, but I may not need those until I want to hike with it in areas where I have to walk through water. From hiking and urban exploration to kayaking and paddle boarding, I am a big fan of functional multi-purpose gear and this backpack delivers in aces!
