Good little kit. Light sticks are a nice to have when off shore, and having a small multitool is good too. Emergency things like poncho and blanket are must haves and usually not included in basic kits. Everything packs in tight in the dry bag too.

Awesome packs. Took packs straight to Alaska bushwhacking, fly fishing, kayaking and boating. The packs took it all is stride. Completely durable & waterproof!

Writing as a Divemaster, marine ecologist, and full-time PhD student who spends months of the year collecting data in the field. While I've yet to drag this backpack through its paces out on a fieldwork season, I've been pleasantly surprised with how robust it has been as an EDC backpack in adverse winter conditions. It's burly and rugged, and has a functionally minimalist design with plenty of external lash points and additional features. I picked this bag over alternatives such as the Patagonia Guidewater line or the Fishpond Thunderhead primarily because of its built-in laptop sleeve and double airtight pockets (one main compartment and one outside compartment). I don't regret this decision at all, and am pleasantly and plentifully surprised at how well-made and thought-out this product is. My only gripe so far is how small the external water bottle sleeves are—none of my water bottles fit in them, but it's also hard to whine about a feature that none of the other submersible packs on the market even have to begin with, so I digress. The hingeless carabiners are also sleek and functional and don't feel disposable. In short, this bag seems perfect for my demanding use cases, and my only suggestions are 1) bigger/more expandable water bottle sleeves, and 2) a clearer picture of Breakwater Supply's commitment to conservation and sustainability and how their products and materials reflect this focus. Hello readers of the Breakwater Supply company reviews for the Explorer 25L waterproof backpack. I purchase my first Breakwater Supply bag in August of 2022. When it arrived in the mail it was on time with quick delivery. Showing excitement and ready to try out this new bag. Switching from a worn out a waterproof Patagonia 30L , after close to two-years of daily use. It also stored all the personal property allowing everything to stay dry. Lowering any stress one might have when getting caught in the rain or on the boat with water splashing on deck. This is an awesome backpack for organized onshore fisherman who carry all there tackle and want to keep it dry. The primary Breakwater Supply backpack I use goes through ups and downs daily, with an average weight of ten pounds in the bag. Holding everything one might need and use for a business administrative lifestyle. Which in this case is education while in college over the next few years. Here comes the good news, this manufacture stands by there product with professional customer service and has provided a brand new Backpack after mine became damaged. If your looking to try a waterproof bag this company is offering a water tight sealed bag.

i stuffed it with containers of ice water that really put it to work testing the strength integrity and workmanship of all attachments and straps sewed and heat sealed together i found my BackPack out of all the manufacturers i carefully methodically located and purchased Break Water after reading other people’s review on and off their website on youtube videos and once home in my possession found it rugged strong robust brutal and likely to last years through the harshes environments and treatments i know i can count on Break Water additionally i purchased the first aid package i saw seemed fully capable of supplying the right people with handy supplies in the event first aid supplies is needed during my journeys Break Water yes expensive but today everything is getting more and more expensive luckily here you getting your money’s worth oh by the way i shopped this back pack because my last one which last some time but it blew out around the zipper and left a hole i don’t ever anticipate that and hope Break Water would stand behind its products in any event. thank you

I haven’t used it for that long, but the quality looks/feels nice. The zippers need a bit of a tug to open, but there are loops that help with opening the zippers easily. It looks waterproof, but I haven’t tested it yet.

These bags are truly waterproof! We have put them to the test during a rainy track season in the Midwest, and while visiting Niagara Falls--everything inside the bag has stayed dry in wet conditions. I would recommend these bags to anyone. The size options are great, and totally worth the price.

I was looking for small carabiners for my keys that weren't metal. It's just that clanking sound that can get irritating. These are perfect and literally it's true they will not break! I tried twisting and bending and I figured since there's 4 in the package I can live with breaking one, but I couldn't snap them. For small carabiners these are perfect. Easy to open and as light as can be. And I like the small zip bag they come in. Recommend!

This shirt is great and fits like a slim tshirt. I've bought other products from this brand and have been impressed with their quality. This is a good product, and the stitched pattern on it is unique.

Love this bag so far. Whether I’m on my kayak or just wading, it has become the go to fishing & camping backpack. 25L is perfect size and great pocket design.
