We run an all-weather camera delivery in NYC. Seven days or a week rain, shine or blizzard. We immediately knew we were dealing with professional grade gear when we opened the box, these bags are seriously constructed and for our purposes, keep very expensive camera gear bone dry after 10 hours out in the rain. That being said, they did not completely forget about the style end of things , the backpack does not look like a rubber dry-bag and can totally be used as an every day commuter backpack etc. So it’s pretty much consensus amongst those who review these products that they are an extremely high-quality product, recently we had a zipper issue and I got to experience the customer service end of the Breakwater brand philosophy. Super supportive, knowledgeable and ultimately resolved our issue immediately and with full satisfaction. They really went above and beyond making sure we were 110% happy, and as a result of combining top shelf quality products with missionststement of full client satisfaction have created a lifelong customer out of me. It's absolutely amazing so far. I've yet to get it close to it's capabilities, but I love how heavy duty it is, from the materials to the zippers and the welded seams. For gigs I carry all of my vital electronics, microphones, chargers and other tech in it and I've never been more confident. Just how much effort it takes to unzip the zippers is awesome. I'm definitely happy.

Well I'm not about to take it under Niagara Falls but I did purchase it for an upcoming cruise trip. Already signed up for multiple excursions one of them being to waterfalls in Jamaica. Holds plenty of stuff. The one gripe i have is that I wanted a brighter color but the black is still nice.

i stuffed it with containers of ice water that really put it to work testing the strength integrity and workmanship of all attachments and straps sewed and heat sealed together i found my BackPack out of all the manufacturers i carefully methodically located and purchased Break Water after reading other people’s review on and off their website on youtube videos and once home in my possession found it rugged strong robust brutal and likely to last years through the harshes environments and treatments i know i can count on Break Water additionally i purchased the first aid package i saw seemed fully capable of supplying the right people with handy supplies in the event first aid supplies is needed during my journeys Break Water yes expensive but today everything is getting more and more expensive luckily here you getting your money’s worth oh by the way i shopped this back pack because my last one which last some time but it blew out around the zipper and left a hole i don’t ever anticipate that and hope Break Water would stand behind its products in any event. thank you

So many bags out there to choose from, this one takes the cake because of the phone pocket. Dropped my iphone in the water last summer (ended up losing it) and needed to get something so that doesn't happen again. Haven't yet had a chance to take it out but I love how it holds my iphone 13 (newest one). The price of phones are so out of control nowadays if you like being on the water, you have to get a backpack with a phone holder.

I haven’t used it for that long, but the quality looks/feels nice. The zippers need a bit of a tug to open, but there are loops that help with opening the zippers easily. It looks waterproof, but I haven’t tested it yet.

Amazing backpack! Thoroughly used in South East Asia for 3 months. Swam with it, drove and hiked in the rain with it and my drone and electronics stayed bone dry through all of it. Writing as a Divemaster, marine ecologist, and full-time PhD student who spends months of the year collecting data in the field. While I've yet to drag this backpack through its paces out on a fieldwork season, I've been pleasantly surprised with how robust it has been as an EDC backpack in adverse winter conditions. It's burly and rugged, and has a functionally minimalist design with plenty of external lash points and additional features. I picked this bag over alternatives such as the Patagonia Guidewater line or the Fishpond Thunderhead primarily because of its built-in laptop sleeve and double airtight pockets (one main compartment and one outside compartment). I don't regret this decision at all, and am pleasantly and plentifully surprised at how well-made and thought-out this product is. My only gripe so far is how small the external water bottle sleeves are—none of my water bottles fit in them, but it's also hard to whine about a feature that none of the other submersible packs on the market even have to begin with, so I digress. The hingeless carabiners are also sleek and functional and don't feel disposable. In short, this bag seems perfect for my demanding use cases, and my only suggestions are 1) bigger/more expandable water bottle sleeves, and 2) a clearer picture of Breakwater Supply's commitment to conservation and sustainability and how their products and materials reflect this focus. Quality! The details are what make this stand out. It does fit relatively snug, what most brands would call their "athletic fit". If you're in between then go up a size. Very happy with this. Will be looking forward to wearing it when it's colder.

Absolutely LOVE this bag! The zippers might initially feel a bit hard to work with but after using it a few times and using the zipper glide it is a breeze(and I am a woman so it is totally doable for girls too!). The straps are very comfortable and the bag has a lot of room! The orange color is beautiful and easy to spot! Super excited to take it on outdoor adventures as well as doctor appointments since it is easy to clean!
