I'm a full-time photographer and am often out in rain, water and on sandy beaches. I wanted an adequately sized waterproof backpack to protect my gear, and the Breakwater 25L backpack seems to hit all the checkmarks. I really like that I can also confidently rinse any sand off the backpack when returning home from the beach. Comfortable to wear and has both interior and exterior zipped and pocketed compartments to store smaller items and laptop/iPad, etc. Others have mentioned struggling to close zippers, and yes, they need a good tug to close. There are grippable loops to help open and close the zippers, so that's been a non-issue for me. Great product at a reasonable price to protect my very expensive photography equipment. I also plan to stash a spare set of dry clothes for my more adventurous outings because everything will fit!

Purchased this to keep my laptop dry when I get caught commuting on my motorcycle in the rain. Does a stellar and perfect job. I think it looks cool, it's extremely comfortable, and has a nice shape. The only downside is that the thick, overbuilt zippers that are clearly meant to make a super strong airtight seal and last forever (all good things) are very stiff and loud. This can draw some unwanted attention to you in a work or school environment. I don't care though and use it for both, I love this thing to death.

We recently took a trip to the British Virgin Islands and stayed on a boat for several days. We bought this because we were worried about traveling to and from the boat via the dinghy and getting our phones, towels, and money, wet. It kept everything bone dry even through a downpour and a swim from boat to shore, one day. We were pretty nervous about swimming with it but it not only kept everything completely dry but also acted as a bit of a floating device (do not recommend putting the pack ON your back while swimming). Definitely a great purchase!

This backpack exceeded my expectations at all levels! This backpack is 100% waterproof guaranteed! I was walking in a heavy down pour for several hours and all my personal belongings inside the backpack were dry. It is very comfortable to use this backpack while walking for several hours even carrying heavy size items due to the padded back support. I recently travelled with this backpack and it was really convenient because the backpack perfectly fitted below the sit inside the airplane and also it fitted perfectly on top of my 20” carry on luggage (it stands up-right on its own). I love all of the small details of the backpack, such as the carabiner loops (I used them to hang misc small items), waterproof phone pocket (I can use while being outside in a downpour or water-related sport or activities), and the mesh water pocket (I use my Miir 25.3 oz water bottle and it fits perfectly) Also, inside of the backpack it has a laptop sleeve (fits my 14” laptop perfectly) which is convenient when working remotely or working on the go). Moreover, it has two small pocket organizers that is useful for small size items like carabiner loops, portable chargers, etc. Also, it has a medium sized-zipper inside which you can use to store additional items. If you’re looking for a 100% waterproof, strong material, versatile use (commute, hiking, traveling and water-related activities or sports), then this is the ideal backpack for you. P.S. The only small quirk with the backpack is that due to the welded and waterproof zippers, it is kind of a struggle to open and close the zipper. However, there’s a simple solution. You can either use a lip balm or a silicone lubricant and the backpack will open and close very smoothly. Enjoy this Amazing backpack! :)

This bag is awesome! Did exactly what we needed to do while in the mountains of the Dominican Republic. We literally let the bag float around in the springs while we jumped from spring to spring. It is not 100% waterproof as you can't sink it underwater and guarantee nothing won't get a little wet but it will float and keep your stuff dry from the splash and the rain which we were caught in while trekking back down the mountain. It is a really good quality bag.

So many bags out there to choose from, this one takes the cake because of the phone pocket. Dropped my iphone in the water last summer (ended up losing it) and needed to get something so that doesn't happen again. Haven't yet had a chance to take it out but I love how it holds my iphone 13 (newest one). The price of phones are so out of control nowadays if you like being on the water, you have to get a backpack with a phone holder.

The best, most well made bag I have. I use it everytime I go fishing and never worry for my gear. Thank you breakwater for creating something that is stylish and gives me peace !

i stuffed it with containers of ice water that really put it to work testing the strength integrity and workmanship of all attachments and straps sewed and heat sealed together i found my BackPack out of all the manufacturers i carefully methodically located and purchased Break Water after reading other people’s review on and off their website on youtube videos and once home in my possession found it rugged strong robust brutal and likely to last years through the harshes environments and treatments i know i can count on Break Water additionally i purchased the first aid package i saw seemed fully capable of supplying the right people with handy supplies in the event first aid supplies is needed during my journeys Break Water yes expensive but today everything is getting more and more expensive luckily here you getting your money’s worth oh by the way i shopped this back pack because my last one which last some time but it blew out around the zipper and left a hole i don’t ever anticipate that and hope Break Water would stand behind its products in any event. thank you

Amazing backpack purchased after thorough market analysis. Love the design and practicality. I use it daily for work / leisure as well as for kitesurfing in all conditions. One needs to get used to the hard zipper and check it constantly not to compromise water resistance. Overall materials and performance are simply great. Customer service provided assistance immediately when needed. Could not have asked for more 🙌 .

This bag will serve a dual purpose 1) travel either airlines or my car 2) to be placed in my basket on my E bike to go to the Lighthouse in the winter. It gets cold and windy at the top of the lighthouse. I dress down for my ride there but, need extra things at the top. So just to see how much I could take if needed I stuffed the bag. The following all fit in.; extra pants, long johns, rain jacket (Columbia fairly heavy), super thick sweatshirt, an additional pull over sweatshirt, knit hat, ear muffs , scarf, wool socks, thin socks, waterproof shoes or rubber covers (try rubber covers, galoshes for older people). Also small bicycle pump and repair tire kit. All in a waterproof bag. That keeps it shape and is very well made. Another plus it fit in my over size Electric Bike Company model R bike basket. Yet it also felt very good with great weight distribution, when I placed it on my back. Perfect as a carry on bag. By having all these options it was easier justifying the price. The old saying is “ you get what you payed for” in this case I got more in quantity, storage and waterproof. I received before the arrival date in excellent condition.' Tried to find fault with the bag. I could not. The bag has some reflective material that works well at night. If needed you can easily add a light to the bottom handle or a reflective belt around the bag.

Holding everything one might need and use for a business administrative lifestyle. Which in this case is education while in college over the next few years. Here comes the good news, this manufacture stands by there product with professional customer service and has provided a brand new Backpack after mine became damaged.
