Writing as a Divemaster, marine ecologist, and full-time PhD student who spends months of the year collecting data in the field. While I've yet to drag this backpack through its paces out on a fieldwork season, I've been pleasantly surprised with how robust it has been as an EDC backpack in adverse winter conditions. It's burly and rugged, and has a functionally minimalist design with plenty of external lash points and additional features. I picked this bag over alternatives such as the Patagonia Guidewater line or the Fishpond Thunderhead primarily because of its built-in laptop sleeve and double airtight pockets (one main compartment and one outside compartment). I don't regret this decision at all, and am pleasantly and plentifully surprised at how well-made and thought-out this product is. My only gripe so far is how small the external water bottle sleeves are—none of my water bottles fit in them, but it's also hard to whine about a feature that none of the other submersible packs on the market even have to begin with, so I digress. The hingeless carabiners are also sleek and functional and don't feel disposable. In short, this bag seems perfect for my demanding use cases, and my only suggestions are 1) bigger/more expandable water bottle sleeves, and 2) a clearer picture of Breakwater Supply's commitment to conservation and sustainability and how their products and materials reflect this focus. This product is amazing! There are so many items included in the Breakwater Supply survival first aid kit, and some are items that I never would have thought to add if I was creating my own kit from scratch. A highlight for me was the inclusion of the paracord bracelet and wire saw! I also enjoy the fact that the kit is fairly small in size and able to fit in my saddlebags as well as my hiking day pack without taking up a ton of space. I also feel a lot safer having it on me when I am out enjoying the great outdoors! It also comes with a locking carabineer so you can easily attach it to any of your other bags. I’m thinking about purchasing another one to keep in my car! All in all, a great product that you shouldn’t hesitate on buying!

As someone who is constantly traveling, spending a lot of time hiking, kayaking, and exploring - this backpack is perfect. It's waterproof, sturdy, has a ton of space, and looks great. Highly recommend!

The Breakwater Supply Fogland CORDURA Waterproof Backpack is an excellent pack for outdoor enthusiasts. The CORDURA fabric is top notch. I’ve been fly fishing in Mongolia and scuba diving in Mexico with my pack and definitely kept everything dry. Next trips are diving in YAP and fishing in Patagonia. Perfect size for travel and hiking.

Rugged and durable! This is my second Breakwater Supply backpack and their designs continue to improve. This is my go-to sailing/kayaking backpack as I trust the waterproofing more than my other bags.

Has everything I need for trips in the woods . It's a very good kit for hunting, fishing, outdoors, and snowmobile trips or ATV . The bag is small and flexible. Easy to pack with other things . Supplies are good quality. Bandages are always a must and there's plenty. Survival equipment I am surprised by , in a good way. I spent a lot of time in the outdoors. Good to have that stuff and be prepared. Overall great kit and plan on keeping with me on my trips.

Built like a tank and immediately felt better about the price. Only 2 things I find that could be better. 1 Zippers are tough to pull and require wax to make sure they don’t get stuck. 2 lacks a good amount of interior pockets for those who like excessive pockets in your bags. Design of the bag was kept simple to help with water proof-ness. Will say that if you don’t want to worry about what you put in the bag staying dry this is the bag for you.

GREAT KIT! Has just about everything. I remember buying a survival bracelet years ago for about 15 bucks and there's one actually included in this kit and this one has a small compass and space for some tiny fishing tackle. The one thing it may be missing to be actual survivor worthy is a packable shovel and larger knife. the shovel can be makeshift and the knife I usually carry my own anyway. Other than that this is a really solid kit for price.

It's absolutely amazing so far. I've yet to get it close to it's capabilities, but I love how heavy duty it is, from the materials to the zippers and the welded seams. For gigs I carry all of my vital electronics, microphones, chargers and other tech in it and I've never been more confident. Just how much effort it takes to unzip the zippers is awesome. I'm definitely happy.

We recently took a trip to the British Virgin Islands and stayed on a boat for several days. We bought this because we were worried about traveling to and from the boat via the dinghy and getting our phones, towels, and money, wet. It kept everything bone dry even through a downpour and a swim from boat to shore, one day. We were pretty nervous about swimming with it but it not only kept everything completely dry but also acted as a bit of a floating device (do not recommend putting the pack ON your back while swimming). Definitely a great purchase!

Love these waterproof backpacks, we put out laptop in our and threw it in our swimming pool, pulled it out and it was bone dry ! Fits great and heavy duty ! #SWPG Approved !

This bag is perfect, and I don't say that lightly, I'm super picky and this bag has met all of my expectations: 1. The material is incredibly durable 2. It really is water submersible 3. Super comfortable 4. Spacious but doesn't make me look like I'm an overpacker even though I am it just gives a sleek look. The company is also amazing, you can tell they really car about their product and go to great lengths to make sure the customer is getting what they paid for if not more. I've contacted their customer service before and they responded in 1 day and solved my problems instantly. I began to look for this quality of companies when I shop.

Two-time purchaser of this. Both are great quality. It's a heavyweight sweatshirt, which is what I like the most about it. So far the first one has held up and would expect the same from this one.
