The best, most well made bag I have. I use it everytime I go fishing and never worry for my gear. Thank you breakwater for creating something that is stylish and gives me peace !

This backpack is heavy duty! I work as a camp counselor at an outdoor camp and have used it in various weather conditions (rain/shine) and at different nature spots (lakes, waterfalls, rivers, trails, etc). I haven't tested its waterproof claim yet (been meaning to do so in my bathtub), but I have worn it while it rained, and the stuff in my backpack was absolutely dry! The zippers are hard to move, but that's because they are supposed to prevent water from seeping through. I do like how there is a pocket you can slip your phone into that you can see on the outside, and the material covering your phone is thin enough so that you can still touch your phone screen! I prefer this backpack to the other ones that have the openings at the top that you have to roll down - it's so much easier just being able to unzip the backpack and grab what I need! I think the only thing that tripped me up at first was the price point, but, other than that...I would highly recommend this backpack! Bought 2 backpacks for our yearly trip to the Virgin Islands and they arrived the day after I ordered. Impressive! We had many tropical downpours on vacay and the waterproof backpacks saved us so many times on the beach and ferry. Best purchase ever especially with such unpredictable weather!

Stays in my backpack for hiking

25L bag looks and feels awesome, I can’t wait to put it to use. The cordura material seems extremely durable, wont rip or show any scuffs. Nice simple touches that go a long way compared to other brands that do the bare minimum such as the inside zipper compartment along with two other compartments, the reflective logos on the outside and the added buckle and hooks on the outside of the bag for easy acesss.

After having really bad experiences with supposedly waterproof dry bags and backpacks, I decided I need to do more research and be prepared to spend a little extra in order to get quality gear. When it comes to sensitive items that just can't get wet such as electronics, towels or layers of clothes designed to keep me warm, I don't want to take any chances. I found the gear I was looking for from Breakwater Supply. The River UTE backpack is exactly what I needed and more. It is completely waterproof and submersible. The lashing points are extremely handy for attaching the backpack onto my paddle board or kayak and they are also useful for attaching webbing that allows me to store wet gear such as water shoes or a wet towel on the outside as pictured. The pockets on the sides fit my tall smart water bottles perfectly and the velcro straps on the top sides fit around the cap of the bottle as if that's exactly what they were designed to do. There is a smaller waterproof zippered pocket for my wallet and keys. There is a much more heavy duty waterproof zipper for the main compartment. It stores my Nesso beach tent with the back lash straps holding the poles as pictured. With all that there's still loads of room inside the 20 l Main compartment for a towel, food and also an air inflator if I choose. My buddy likes to use the same backpack to store a miniature fishing pole and fishing gear. There are three additional compartments inside the main compartment of the backpack, but I may not need those until I want to hike with it in areas where I have to walk through water. From hiking and urban exploration to kayaking and paddle boarding, I am a big fan of functional multi-purpose gear and this backpack delivers in aces!

Bought this as a gift and they loved it! The dry bag itself is amazing quality and there are so many things included. Super impressed and would recommend.

I love this backpack. I walk to work and needed something waterproof. It fits my umbrella, fold-up rain coat, rain pants, and lunch. The zippers are kinda stiff, but they will probably relax after a while. It's expensive, but definitely worth the price.

Well I'm not about to take it under Niagara Falls but I did purchase it for an upcoming cruise trip. Already signed up for multiple excursions one of them being to waterfalls in Jamaica. Holds plenty of stuff. The one gripe i have is that I wanted a brighter color but the black is still nice.

I bought this specifically to take canyoneering in waterfalls. I was skeptical at first, but it completely protected my items (camera, drone, etc) and was comfortable to wear jumping off 10-15 meter cliffs. Their customer service is top notch. I would buy another and recommend to anyone.
