I bought this specifically to take canyoneering in waterfalls. I was skeptical at first, but it completely protected my items (camera, drone, etc) and was comfortable to wear jumping off 10-15 meter cliffs. Their customer service is top notch. I would buy another and recommend to anyone.

We recently took a trip to the British Virgin Islands and stayed on a boat for several days. We bought this because we were worried about traveling to and from the boat via the dinghy and getting our phones, towels, and money, wet. It kept everything bone dry even through a downpour and a swim from boat to shore, one day. We were pretty nervous about swimming with it but it not only kept everything completely dry but also acted as a bit of a floating device (do not recommend putting the pack ON your back while swimming). Definitely a great purchase!

Bought 2 backpacks for our yearly trip to the Virgin Islands and they arrived the day after I ordered. Impressive! We had many tropical downpours on vacay and the waterproof backpacks saved us so many times on the beach and ferry. Best purchase ever especially with such unpredictable weather!

All the way from Holland I am writing my excitement for this bag. I cannot wait to test it in BALI this January. And I mean, really test it. I've got water canyoning, mid quad rides and more planned. I am raving on the fact it's total waterproof and so far all the material seems of great quality. I wanted a bag that could last through everything on my day hikes. So I have cubes for my drone, lumix camera and action cam that devide the internal space. Then there's enough space left for a quick dry towel and everything. I'm a fan!

Great backpack. Definitely waterproof. In the Philippines i was on a boat for a 5 day island hopping trip and this was my main bag. I brought a drone with me on the boat trip and when we'd anchor off an island Id zip up the back pack with my drone in it and swim to shore. I did this on many islands and never a drop of water got into the bag, Id even kind of swim with it as a flotation device submerging it a bit and no problem. Also nice when thunderstorms would come through areas when I was on motorbikes and would get drenched but didnt even need to worry a bit about my gear getting wet, I'd just throw my phone in the bag and keep going with a smile. As of now I definitely recommend this bag. Want a waterproof backpack? Get one from Breakwater Supply hands down. Much love

Writing as a Divemaster, marine ecologist, and full-time PhD student who spends months of the year collecting data in the field. While I've yet to drag this backpack through its paces out on a fieldwork season, I've been pleasantly surprised with how robust it has been as an EDC backpack in adverse winter conditions. It's burly and rugged, and has a functionally minimalist design with plenty of external lash points and additional features. I picked this bag over alternatives such as the Patagonia Guidewater line or the Fishpond Thunderhead primarily because of its built-in laptop sleeve and double airtight pockets (one main compartment and one outside compartment). I don't regret this decision at all, and am pleasantly and plentifully surprised at how well-made and thought-out this product is. My only gripe so far is how small the external water bottle sleeves are—none of my water bottles fit in them, but it's also hard to whine about a feature that none of the other submersible packs on the market even have to begin with, so I digress. The hingeless carabiners are also sleek and functional and don't feel disposable. In short, this bag seems perfect for my demanding use cases, and my only suggestions are 1) bigger/more expandable water bottle sleeves, and 2) a clearer picture of Breakwater Supply's commitment to conservation and sustainability and how their products and materials reflect this focus. I searched high and low for the perfect backpack to carry sensitive camera gear onto boats that often take saltwater splash, and deep puddles where I may need to stick my bag. This is it. It's perfect. I have had the zipper give me trouble a couple times over the years, but customer service is the best I've ever seen. They replace the bag straight way. I wish all companies cared this much. Can't recommend enough!

I've depended on a lot of water resistent and waterproof backpacks for about a year and I could tell this is the real deal. There are two requirements to be waterproof: 1. the material 2. sealing any openings (zippers or roll tops). While roll tops are waterproof, it doesn't mean the openings are completely waterproof under pressure. Also, most roll top bags are built like sacks which serve a purpose but don't make good day packs. However, this bag uses drysuit zippers. But it also has several unique features I haven't seen on a zippable pack like this: 1. two mesh water bottle hoders (while a bit small, they do stretch; see picture), a laptop divider (no padding but should still hold up) 3. Most importantly, the same waterproof zippers on the front stash pocket. I got mine in Cordura which was a 10 dollar difference but is a top notch rip resistent perofrmance fabric. Overall, I do recommend this bag but I do wish it shipped flat (can see the crease in the middle but should be fine once used) and maybe a 30L/28L version with hip straps?

I have been looking for an all black, high quality waterproof backpack that I can use for kayaking, the Narrows and carrying my camera equipment. This bag does all of that and still looks amazing! The amount of space is just right and the zippers are strong! I wish I had found this bag sooner.

Excellent back pack. Well designed. Would be better with 1 or two small pockets on outside or top, but very happy with the purchase.

awesome backpack! was comparing this one to some of the competition like $300 the Yeti Panga. I was able to check out the Yeti at a store and The Breakwater Supply bag has the same if not BETTER quality than the Yeti backpack and only for a fraction of the cost! I would highly recommend Breakwater Supply waterproof backpacks to anyone looking for a fully waterproof submersible backpack.

Absolutely LOVE this bag! The zippers might initially feel a bit hard to work with but after using it a few times and using the zipper glide it is a breeze(and I am a woman so it is totally doable for girls too!). The straps are very comfortable and the bag has a lot of room! The orange color is beautiful and easy to spot! Super excited to take it on outdoor adventures as well as doctor appointments since it is easy to clean!

Saltwater fishing all day today and the Halocline shoes performed wonderfully. They have excellent grip in slippery conditions and are extremely waterproof. Also very comfortable to wear!

Simple, clean, and it protects. Perfect if you don't want to think about getting stuff wet ever again.
