Writing as a Divemaster, marine ecologist, and full-time PhD student who spends months of the year collecting data in the field. While I've yet to drag this backpack through its paces out on a fieldwork season, I've been pleasantly surprised with how robust it has been as an EDC backpack in adverse winter conditions. It's burly and rugged, and has a functionally minimalist design with plenty of external lash points and additional features. I picked this bag over alternatives such as the Patagonia Guidewater line or the Fishpond Thunderhead primarily because of its built-in laptop sleeve and double airtight pockets (one main compartment and one outside compartment). I don't regret this decision at all, and am pleasantly and plentifully surprised at how well-made and thought-out this product is. My only gripe so far is how small the external water bottle sleeves are—none of my water bottles fit in them, but it's also hard to whine about a feature that none of the other submersible packs on the market even have to begin with, so I digress. The hingeless carabiners are also sleek and functional and don't feel disposable. In short, this bag seems perfect for my demanding use cases, and my only suggestions are 1) bigger/more expandable water bottle sleeves, and 2) a clearer picture of Breakwater Supply's commitment to conservation and sustainability and how their products and materials reflect this focus. I bought this dry bag just to keep my items dry while kayaking on the lake, ocean, or hanging out on the beach. Wow, I was pretty surprised at the high quality of this bag. I love it. I placed my items inside rolled it up and carry like a backpack. I've left it out in the rain and even threw it in the water just to test it out and it actually floats. Everything stayed dry. I intended to store it inside the stern hatch of my sea kayak, but it's so damn good that I strapped it right onto the deck to save on storage space. I haven't fully submerged the bag and held it underwater because I can't really see anytime that it might be necessary or actually occur. I have purchased other dry bags specifically for kayaking and boating, this one is better than all of them. My new favorite bag. Big enough to travel with and small enough for a carry-on when flying. I really do like this bag. I'm looking for other items from the manufacturer. No issues so far and would certainly recommend this product.

Two-time purchaser of this. Both are great quality. It's a heavyweight sweatshirt, which is what I like the most about it. So far the first one has held up and would expect the same from this one.

Really great bag! The white is more off white grey tone but it still looks clean. Straps are comfortable and the chest clip is a nice option. The pockets inside are a big plus and the overall space inside is more than I expected. I have not gotten it wet but the zippers seem heavy duty so I’m sure the seal is perfect. Thinking about getting one the black one for my boyfriend- it’s perfect for our water based jobs.

I absolutely love my waterproof bag. I’m an avid SCUBA diver, swimmer, etc. and it works well for my needs; no leaks and easy to clean. Also it is just the right size. The price was worth it and I will purchase more products in the future.

So I just got back from Mexico for 30 days fly fishing in the surf; highly recommend the product. Enjoyed how it complimented my system of moving my gear around. I would say that customer service is over the top. And, I received a multiple unsolicited compliments.

I'm on or near the water everyday. I like to surf fish, kayak & boat and the need for waterproof gear is an absolute must for me. To be able to carry a first aid kit of this caliber inside a waterproof backpack where I can stow a lot of other gear makes my life around water very enjoyable and i don't have to stress about getting my gear wet.

Amazing backpack! Thoroughly used in South East Asia for 3 months. Swam with it, drove and hiked in the rain with it and my drone and electronics stayed bone dry through all of it. Purchased this to keep my laptop dry when I get caught commuting on my motorcycle in the rain. Does a stellar and perfect job. I think it looks cool, it's extremely comfortable, and has a nice shape. The only downside is that the thick, overbuilt zippers that are clearly meant to make a super strong airtight seal and last forever (all good things) are very stiff and loud. This can draw some unwanted attention to you in a work or school environment. I don't care though and use it for both, I love this thing to death.

Absolutely perfect kit for the Appalachian Trail Thru hike. Hiking 2193 miles from Georgia to Maine, one can encounter a wide variety of injuries and dangerous situations. This kit has everything and then some! The water proof bag is the icing on the top and the lite weight the cherry on top!!!!! It worked perfectly as far and weight and packability. Knowing I could hang it on the outside of my pack if I needed the space was awesome. Thankful I didn’t have to use it but it will stay with me on this journey!!!

I love this backpack. I go fishing all the time, including a lot of wading through small rivers and streams with muddy banks, as well as fishing during storms on Great Lakes piers. I couldn't be happier with this bag, it has been beaten up and abused in the mud and rain and has had zero water inside. I use the little flap inside for my scale, fish grippers, and pliers, the main compartment for my tackle and any other larger items, the inside zipper section for a small first aid kit, and the front outside zipper pocket for my phone, wallet, keys, etc. I even used one of the little things on the outside to hang my scissors from, which is SO convenient, as I need my scissors constantly. I also love the side pockets, for keeping a can of bug spray and water bottle in. I can't believe it took me this long to get a nice waterproof bag. I've had this bag about 6 months, and I've fallen in love with it as well as the brand. I will continue to buy from this brand for years to come. Other waterproof bags I looked at were either way more expensive than this one, or just not as cool looking. Love the simple look of this bag with the cool logo on it, as well as the buckle on the front. Can't say enough good things about it. 1,000/10

Haven't had to test it all out yet, but it's great! And has scissors, not all all first aid kits do! The portable saw looks a little worrisome and wouldn't rely on it for creating stints however.

These are definitely a must-have in marine environments, cold weather and in situations where clicking and rattling are a liability. These are polymer, so they don't scratch up finishes on metal and they DON'T GET JAMMED UP OR FROZEN IN SUB-FREEZING TEMPS. Non-magnetic, corrosion proof, no coating to rub off and are reasonably easy to open with gloves on. My only concern is gradual weakening from UV, but only time can tell if that is something to be concerned about.
