It's absolutely amazing so far. I've yet to get it close to it's capabilities, but I love how heavy duty it is, from the materials to the zippers and the welded seams. For gigs I carry all of my vital electronics, microphones, chargers and other tech in it and I've never been more confident. Just how much effort it takes to unzip the zippers is awesome. I'm definitely happy.

This is a really nice beach bag and I have been very impressed by how practical it is for water trips. It is really amazing how this bag stands up to water and sand because I have taken it out several times to the beach and even on a small boat ride and nothing inside has ever gotten damp. I got this to keep personal items including electronics like my phone, earbuds, and power bank protected, and it has been great for that. The waterproof zipper seals tightly and the shoulder strap feels comfortable enough to carry even when the bag is packed full. The IP68 rating seems accurate because I have accidentally splashed it a few times and the water just rolls right off without soaking in at all. The bag is quite well made and robust with thick materials that feel tough and built to last. The seams look heat welded rather than stitched which adds confidence that it will stay sealed long term. I like that the bottom panel has some structure so it stands upright when placed on the sand, making it easier to find things without the bag collapsing. The interior is spacious enough for towels, sunscreen, snacks, and a change of clothes while still leaving room for smaller valuables. After using it a few weekends in a row, I can say it has performed flawlessly and looks almost new even after being exposed to salt air and bright sun.

Writing as a Divemaster, marine ecologist, and full-time PhD student who spends months of the year collecting data in the field. While I've yet to drag this backpack through its paces out on a fieldwork season, I've been pleasantly surprised with how robust it has been as an EDC backpack in adverse winter conditions. It's burly and rugged, and has a functionally minimalist design with plenty of external lash points and additional features. I picked this bag over alternatives such as the Patagonia Guidewater line or the Fishpond Thunderhead primarily because of its built-in laptop sleeve and double airtight pockets (one main compartment and one outside compartment). I don't regret this decision at all, and am pleasantly and plentifully surprised at how well-made and thought-out this product is. My only gripe so far is how small the external water bottle sleeves are—none of my water bottles fit in them, but it's also hard to whine about a feature that none of the other submersible packs on the market even have to begin with, so I digress. The hingeless carabiners are also sleek and functional and don't feel disposable. In short, this bag seems perfect for my demanding use cases, and my only suggestions are 1) bigger/more expandable water bottle sleeves, and 2) a clearer picture of Breakwater Supply's commitment to conservation and sustainability and how their products and materials reflect this focus. Love my new bag! It’s beautiful and very well-made.

I fucking love it, I just wish there was one more exterior pocket towards the top for easy access to things. When your bag is on the ground in front of u (which often it is) it's much more convenient to get something quick out of a top pocket that's on the outside.. I truly believe with that addition it would be the best backpack I ever had.

This bag is perfect, and I don't say that lightly, I'm super picky and this bag has met all of my expectations: 1. The material is incredibly durable 2. It really is water submersible 3. Super comfortable 4. Spacious but doesn't make me look like I'm an overpacker even though I am it just gives a sleek look. The company is also amazing, you can tell they really car about their product and go to great lengths to make sure the customer is getting what they paid for if not more. I've contacted their customer service before and they responded in 1 day and solved my problems instantly. I began to look for this quality of companies when I shop.

I have the 15L in Goshen Gray - this is one excellent pack! I took it for a week to Costa Rica and used it on the boat for Scuba (where we got soaked) and also hiking in the rain forest, where we were in heavy rain all day. On the boat I had my wallet, phone, dry clothes, etc. and in the rain forest I had my camera in a padded camera cube and other gear. In both cases, my stuff stayed bone dry. But not only that, the pack was very comfortable to hike with, the fabric looks amazing and it has great pockets for a waterproof pack (which are usually very sparse or empty on organization since it's not cheap to weld additional pockets into the pack). The upper inside pocket is really great for keys, etc and the main inside pocket is great to segment your gear so that the pack doesn't become one giant black hold. Also, the pack is super light and really strong and tough, so it packed really well and flat into my main travel bag (unzipped) and then was great when we arrived as a day pack. The top handle is really handy and the sternum strap works really well. Can't recommend this bag highly enough, especially at the price. Thanks for making this one guys, I'll probably be back for more sizes!

Amazing backpack! Thoroughly used in South East Asia for 3 months. Swam with it, drove and hiked in the rain with it and my drone and electronics stayed bone dry through all of it. Also, INCREDIBLE customer service that went above and beyond. All around a 10/10 company and experience. Thanks again guys, keep crushing it!

Love it awesome backpack

I bought my bag through the Kickstarter campaign. It totally meets and exceeds my expectations at first blush. It seems to be of terrific quality, and is certainly the best bag I’ve bought on Kickstarter to date. I can definitely see it being a hit with people who spend a lot of time around water. I closed the zipper and it retained the air inside, and like on the video I was able to stand in it and the air did not leave the bag. Love the small details like the phone pouch with the clear plastic and the water bottle holder on the other side. I also love the computer pouch inside- will definitely keep the electronics safe. Very glad I got the blue- it’s very pretty. And the thinner material c/w the black still seems plenty tough enough- although time will tell. It may be a limited run though. Have not loaded it up and carried it for a long time to see its comfort, but the straps and the back panel seem well made and likely will hold up with protracted use. The campaign was super slick and smooth and the product came through very quickly and 100% on time, something that cannot be said for most of the KS campaigns. Even my wife loves the bag, and she can be quite fussy around this stuff. All-in-all very very happy. Wish all the KS products could be as good. Well done guys (and gals).

Quality! The details are what make this stand out. It does fit relatively snug, what most brands would call their "athletic fit". If you're in between then go up a size. Very happy with this. Will be looking forward to wearing it when it's colder.

Great backpack. Definitely waterproof. In the Philippines i was on a boat for a 5 day island hopping trip and this was my main bag. I brought a drone with me on the boat trip and when we'd anchor off an island Id zip up the back pack with my drone in it and swim to shore. I did this on many islands and never a drop of water got into the bag, Id even kind of swim with it as a flotation device submerging it a bit and no problem. Also nice when thunderstorms would come through areas when I was on motorbikes and would get drenched but didnt even need to worry a bit about my gear getting wet, I'd just throw my phone in the bag and keep going with a smile. As of now I definitely recommend this bag. Want a waterproof backpack? Get one from Breakwater Supply hands down. Much love

Amazing backpack purchased after thorough market analysis. Love the design and practicality. I use it daily for work / leisure as well as for kitesurfing in all conditions. One needs to get used to the hard zipper and check it constantly not to compromise water resistance. Overall materials and performance are simply great.
