This backpack is amazing at doing it's job. The waterproofing works flawlessly! Even though the plastic makes it hard to use at first, it eventually loosens up with use. For anyone wondering, the built in laptop holder is perfect for 14" laptops. Otherwise, I wouldn't try putting anything bigger than that.

Writing as a Divemaster, marine ecologist, and full-time PhD student who spends months of the year collecting data in the field. While I've yet to drag this backpack through its paces out on a fieldwork season, I've been pleasantly surprised with how robust it has been as an EDC backpack in adverse winter conditions. It's burly and rugged, and has a functionally minimalist design with plenty of external lash points and additional features. I picked this bag over alternatives such as the Patagonia Guidewater line or the Fishpond Thunderhead primarily because of its built-in laptop sleeve and double airtight pockets (one main compartment and one outside compartment). I don't regret this decision at all, and am pleasantly and plentifully surprised at how well-made and thought-out this product is. My only gripe so far is how small the external water bottle sleeves are—none of my water bottles fit in them, but it's also hard to whine about a feature that none of the other submersible packs on the market even have to begin with, so I digress. The hingeless carabiners are also sleek and functional and don't feel disposable. In short, this bag seems perfect for my demanding use cases, and my only suggestions are 1) bigger/more expandable water bottle sleeves, and 2) a clearer picture of Breakwater Supply's commitment to conservation and sustainability and how their products and materials reflect this focus. Wow! This is a cool pack! I’ve taken it around the World and had tons of compliments. It saved me in Mongolia on a Fly Fishing float trip keeping all my stuff dry on the boat in a complete downpour . I just got back from a scuba diving trip in Cozumel and kept all my stuff dry in the belly of the dive boat. It’s next trip is fly fishing in Montana and Wyoming in August, scuba diving in Yap in December, and fly fishing in Argentina next March. I love the Fogland 25L pack…my favorite new travel companion.

Shoes are great for hiking and kayaking

I searched high and low for the perfect backpack to carry sensitive camera gear onto boats that often take saltwater splash, and deep puddles where I may need to stick my bag. This is it. It's perfect. I have had the zipper give me trouble a couple times over the years, but customer service is the best I've ever seen. They replace the bag straight way. I wish all companies cared this much. Can't recommend enough!

By far the best waterproof bag I’ve ever used. It’s been on several scuba dive trips, boat rides, and even swimming with me on a excursion that had a water portion involved. I'm absolutely thrilled with my new waterproof backpack! As a photographer, I've had my fair share of close calls with rain and water damage. But this backpack has been a total game-changer. So far I have not found anything I don't like about it.

I love this backpack. I go fishing all the time, including a lot of wading through small rivers and streams with muddy banks, as well as fishing during storms on Great Lakes piers. I couldn't be happier with this bag, it has been beaten up and abused in the mud and rain and has had zero water inside. I use the little flap inside for my scale, fish grippers, and pliers, the main compartment for my tackle and any other larger items, the inside zipper section for a small first aid kit, and the front outside zipper pocket for my phone, wallet, keys, etc. I even used one of the little things on the outside to hang my scissors from, which is SO convenient, as I need my scissors constantly. I also love the side pockets, for keeping a can of bug spray and water bottle in. I can't believe it took me this long to get a nice waterproof bag. I've had this bag about 6 months, and I've fallen in love with it as well as the brand. I will continue to buy from this brand for years to come. Other waterproof bags I looked at were either way more expensive than this one, or just not as cool looking. Love the simple look of this bag with the cool logo on it, as well as the buckle on the front. Can't say enough good things about it. 1,000/10
