This bag will serve a dual purpose 1) travel either airlines or my car 2) to be placed in my basket on my E bike to go to the Lighthouse in the winter. It gets cold and windy at the top of the lighthouse. I dress down for my ride there but, need extra things at the top. So just to see how much I could take if needed I stuffed the bag. The following all fit in.; extra pants, long johns, rain jacket (Columbia fairly heavy), super thick sweatshirt, an additional pull over sweatshirt, knit hat, ear muffs , scarf, wool socks, thin socks, waterproof shoes or rubber covers (try rubber covers, galoshes for older people). Also small bicycle pump and repair tire kit. All in a waterproof bag. That keeps it shape and is very well made. Another plus it fit in my over size Electric Bike Company model R bike basket. Yet it also felt very good with great weight distribution, when I placed it on my back. Perfect as a carry on bag. By having all these options it was easier justifying the price. The old saying is “ you get what you payed for” in this case I got more in quantity, storage and waterproof. I received before the arrival date in excellent condition.' Tried to find fault with the bag. I could not. The bag has some reflective material that works well at night. If needed you can easily add a light to the bottom handle or a reflective belt around the bag.Breakwater Supply Explorer Waterproof Backpack, 25L

The backpack was tested in real conditions, including hiking in rivers and canyons with waterfalls, where I needed to swim to navigate difficult passages. The backpack was fully submerged in water, and its contents remained completely dry and well-protected.Breakwater Supply Fogland Waterproof Backpack

That’s a wonderful bag that I decided to keep to go to work as I walk to work and currently live in Scotland. I also did day hiking in mountainous terrain and it was fine (of course it was not heavily charged). It can host a lot of stuff (sometimes too much!), contrary to most backpacks of the same volume, thanks to its format. It is also crafted with care, so should last for a while.Breakwater Supply Fogland Waterproof Backpack

Perfect size for a day trip on a boat in the islands!Breakwater Supply Fogland Waterproof Backpack

Wow! This is a cool pack! I’ve taken it around the World and had tons of compliments. It saved me in Mongolia on a Fly Fishing float trip keeping all my stuff dry on the boat in a complete downpour . I just got back from a scuba diving trip in Cozumel and kept all my stuff dry in the belly of the dive boat. It’s next trip is fly fishing in Montana and Wyoming in August, scuba diving in Yap in December, and fly fishing in Argentina next March. I love the Fogland 25L pack…my favorite new travel companion.Breakwater Supply Fogland Waterproof Backpack

I’ve been using this bag 5 days a week on a boat for a year now Could not be happier. End of the day I literally spray the bag off with my camera gear in it Looks great, ultra waterproof. Best bag I’ve ever had. Year in and expect many more out of itBreakwater Supply Fogland Waterproof Backpack

The challenge of anyone setting off on a waterborne endeavor is how to both keep things dry and accessible. I purchased this backpack in an attempt to solve that problem for myself and I am glad that I did. The backpack is watertight while maintaining a level of accessibility that is needed when on the water and in confined spaces. Putting this backpack in front of me in my pack raft was the perfect solution for needing to keep my camera and lunch dry, but still needing to be able to get them. Other bags require the old fashioned roll down sleeve and buckle or the US Army wet weather bag’s double cinch approach. This waterproof zipper design is far better than either of those. Additionally, to economize space in the boat (very limited on a packraft) the compression strap helps keep the bag from taking up much-needed room. The phone pouch is, by far, the best feature of the backpack. I cannot tell you how many times I have been on the water and wanted the use of my phone for maps, texts, or other things while being terrified to take it out in fear of dropping it. Waterproof or floating cases help, but it also decreases the usability of the phone. This backpack keeps the phone safe while allowing you to use it. It is even better if you have a pair of Bluetooth earphones that will allow you to make phone calls while the phone is safe in the backpack. If nothing else, this feature alone is worth the purchase of the backpack in my opinion.Breakwater Supply Explorer Waterproof Backpack, 25L

I'm a full-time photographer and am often out in rain, water and on sandy beaches. I wanted an adequately sized waterproof backpack to protect my gear, and the Breakwater 25L backpack seems to hit all the checkmarks. I really like that I can also confidently rinse any sand off the backpack when returning home from the beach. Comfortable to wear and has both interior and exterior zipped and pocketed compartments to store smaller items and laptop/iPad, etc. Others have mentioned struggling to close zippers, and yes, they need a good tug to close. There are grippable loops to help open and close the zippers, so that's been a non-issue for me. Great product at a reasonable price to protect my very expensive photography equipment. I also plan to stash a spare set of dry clothes for my more adventurous outings because everything will fit!Breakwater Supply Fogland Waterproof Backpack

My backpack arrived a few days ago and it is the most badass looking hiking gear I own! That stealth black is sweet. Haven't gotten to try it out yet, but planning on taking it out next time it starts to snow heavy around here. Thank you guys very much!Breakwater Supply Fogland Waterproof Backpack

I bought this dry bag just to keep my items dry while kayaking on the lake, ocean, or hanging out on the beach. Wow, I was pretty surprised at the high quality of this bag. I love it. I placed my items inside rolled it up and carry like a backpack. I've left it out in the rain and even threw it in the water just to test it out and it actually floats. Everything stayed dry. I intended to store it inside the stern hatch of my sea kayak, but it's so damn good that I strapped it right onto the deck to save on storage space. I haven't fully submerged the bag and held it underwater because I can't really see anytime that it might be necessary or actually occur. I have purchased other dry bags specifically for kayaking and boating, this one is better than all of them. My new favorite bag. Big enough to travel with and small enough for a carry-on when flying. I really do like this bag. I'm looking for other items from the manufacturer. No issues so far and would certainly recommend this product.Breakwater Supply Meanhigh Dry Bag Waterproof Rolltop Backpack, 25L

As someone who is constantly traveling, spending a lot of time hiking, kayaking, and exploring - this backpack is perfect. It's waterproof, sturdy, has a ton of space, and looks great. Highly recommend!Breakwater Supply Explorer Waterproof Backpack, 25L

I bought the Fogland 25L backpack for a St Thomas USVI trip where we had a boat outing where we had to swim into different bars/restaurants. Worked great, kept everything inside dry. I used it once with very little equipment inside and a lot of air and swam quite far with it but it blew a seam…I think too much air in the bag/too much pressure on the seams and the top seam blew. Got a hold of customer service, explained what happened and within 12 hours a new bag was being sent my way. One year warranty with exceptional service, would recommend to anyone. My thoughts are most dry bags make you roll down the top of the bag to get all of the excess air out of the bag so not to build up internal pressure so you don’t blow out a seam on the bag. Overall a fantastic product made in the US just let the excess air out before getting in the water with the bag.Breakwater Supply Fogland Waterproof Backpack

Writing as a Divemaster, marine ecologist, and full-time PhD student who spends months of the year collecting data in the field. While I've yet to drag this backpack through its paces out on a fieldwork season, I've been pleasantly surprised with how robust it has been as an EDC backpack in adverse winter conditions. It's burly and rugged, and has a functionally minimalist design with plenty of external lash points and additional features. I picked this bag over alternatives such as the Patagonia Guidewater line or the Fishpond Thunderhead primarily because of its built-in laptop sleeve and double airtight pockets (one main compartment and one outside compartment). I don't regret this decision at all, and am pleasantly and plentifully surprised at how well-made and thought-out this product is. My only gripe so far is how small the external water bottle sleeves are—none of my water bottles fit in them, but it's also hard to whine about a feature that none of the other submersible packs on the market even have to begin with, so I digress. The hingeless carabiners are also sleek and functional and don't feel disposable. In short, this bag seems perfect for my demanding use cases, and my only suggestions are 1) bigger/more expandable water bottle sleeves, and 2) a clearer picture of Breakwater Supply's commitment to conservation and sustainability and how their products and materials reflect this focus. Thank you for this backpack Godsend!Breakwater Supply Fogland Waterproof Backpack
